Our chocolates and design details offer a quiet nod to heritage — from spice-forward profiles to our signature turmeric hue, a symbol of warmth, celebration, and tradition across the region.
We are proud to be a WBENC- and MBE-certified business and to support organizations aligned with our values, including Apna Ghar, which provides critical resources for survivors of domestic violence.

Chef Uzma Sharif is a chocolatier and culinary expert with over two decades of experience in the food industry. Her work is guided by a deep creative curiosity and a lasting fascination with chocolate as both craft and expression.
Raised in Chicago, Uzma discovered cooking early as a creative outlet and pursued formal culinary training soon after. Her education and professional journey shaped a disciplined, thoughtful approach to pastry and chocolate-making, grounded in technique and refined through global perspective.
Over the years, she has worked, taught, and built a career centered on craftsmanship, flavor, and cultural storytelling. In 2011, she founded Chocolat Uzma, bringing together her culinary expertise and South Asian heritage through a modern chocolate lens.
Today, Uzma continues to create with intention — blending tradition, technique, and restraint — and sharing a distinct point of view shaped by more than a decade of building her brand.
