One of our most popular products, both in-store and online, our sipping chocolate is crafted in small batches using 67% dark chocolate and premium cocoa powder. With no added sugar, it allows you to fully savor the rich, pure taste of chocolate.
We offer two distinct flavors:
- Kashmiri Chili: Infused with Saigon cinnamon and Kashmiri chili, this blend delivers a warm, spicy kick.
- Original Dark: A timeless classic, perfect for true dark chocolate enthusiasts.

Shipping Information
At Chocolat Uzma, we take great care in packing each order by hand to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. We proudly ship via United States Postal Service (USPS) and UPS Saver, offering reliable and cost-effective delivery options.
Carrier Responsibility
Once your order is handed over to the carrier, Chocolat Uzma is no longer responsible for any delays, damages, or lost packages. USPS and UPS are independent entities, and any shipping issues must be addressed directly with them.

If your package is delayed, lost, or damaged in transit, you will need to file a claim directly with the carrier.

Shipping Delays & Holiday Surcharges

Labor shortages and global supply chain challenges continue to affect businesses and shipping carriers, which may result in unexpected delays.

Peak holiday season (October – January) brings increased demand, and all major carriers raise their shipping rates and add delivery surcharges during this time. As a result, our shipping costs may be higher during these months.
We carefully choose our shipping partners to ensure the best balance of reliability and affordability. We also use a third-party service to secure discounted UPS rates, allowing us to pass those savings on to you.

General Shipping Information
After placing an order online, please allow 24–48 hours for processing and shipping. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via Pirate Ship, our integrated shipping software.
Shipping Schedule

We ship Monday through Thursday. Any orders placed on Friday may be held until Monday to prevent chocolates from sitting in a carrier facility over the weekend, as UPS does not move packages on weekends.

During the holiday season (October–January), carriers work around the clock, so we may ship on Fridays to ensure timely deliveries.

Our shipping/online business hours are 8 AM – 4 PM. Orders received after 10 AM may not be shipped the same day if UPS has already picked up orders. Additionally, if an item is out of stock, we may need extra time to make fresh chocolate before shipping.
Shipping Fees
We do not know the exact shipping cost at checkout, but if the actual shipping cost is lower than what you paid, we will refund the difference.
For example, if we charge $12 for shipping but the actual cost is $9, we will refund you $3.

Holiday Shipping Information
Please note that UPS and USPS are experiencing delays due to an overwhelming number of shipments. Since 2020, these delays have not fully ended, and carriers no longer guarantee delivery dates.
To avoid shipping delays, please order your holiday gifts in advance. While we do our best to process and ship orders as quickly as possible, once your package is handed off to UPS or USPS, it is subject to their delivery schedules and delays—which are beyond our control.
We appreciate your patience and encourage early ordering to ensure your chocolates arrive on time. Thank you for your support!
Warm Weather Shipping:
During warmer weather (above 75°F), we are unable to ship our chocolates as they may melt. However, we are currently working on an insulated shipping box that will be sent via UPS 2-day (coming soon). If you would like to place an order to be shipped during warmer weather, please note that there will be an additional fee of $12 or more for shippers with dry ice, and a $50 or more fee for UPS overnight and 1-day shipping.
Courier Service for In-Person DeliveriesWe are now offering courier services for in-person deliveries in the Chicago area! Our courier is an independent contractor who operates his own business.

Chicago Deliveries: Please provide at least 12–24 hours' notice for scheduling. Rates start at $20.00.

Suburban Deliveries: Due to increased time and distance, rates for suburban deliveries are 3–4 times higher than city rates.
For availability and scheduling, please reach out in advance to ensure timely delivery.
At Chocolat Uzma, we take great pride in crafting our chocolates by hand, not by machine. Because each piece is made in small batches by skilled chocolatiers, no two will be exactly alike. Variations in shape, size, and design are natural—this is the beauty of artisanal chocolate!
Due to the perishable nature of our products, all sales are final—we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges.
However, if your order arrives compromised in quality due to mold or spoilage, we’re happy to assist. To be eligible for a replacement:

Handmade Means Unique
Our chocolates are made by real people, not machines, and each chocolatier has their own touch. Expect slight variations in appearance—we are artisans, not robots. If you are looking for factory-perfect uniformity, our chocolates may not be for you.

We ship via UPS and USPS. If your package arrives damaged due to shipping, please contact the carrier directly to file a claim. We are not responsible for damage caused during transit.

How long will the chocolates keep their fresh taste? Our chocolates are made with the highest quality ingredients and are crafted with care to ensure the best taste and texture possible.
To help you enjoy our chocolates at their best, we recommend keeping them in a cool, dry place 70f or less. If stored properly, our chocolates will stay fresh for 10-14 days. This means you can savor their delicious flavor and smooth texture for longer.
How should I store the chocolate if I want to keep it fresh tasting for more than two weeks? To preserve chocolate for an extended period of two to six months, simply place the box in a plastic storage container or zip-lock bag and seal it tightly before freezing. Alternatively, if you plan to store the chocolates for a shorter period of 2-3 weeks, you may tightly wrap them and refrigerate or place them inside a plastic storage container. This will help ensure that your chocolates remain fresh and delicious for as long as possible.
How do I bring the chocolate to room temperature once it is removed from storage? It is recommended to keep your chocolates in a storage container or zip-lock bag until they reach room temperature. Depending on whether they were stored in the refrigerator or freezer, this process can take approximately one hour or six to twelve hours, respectively. Allowing the chocolates to come to room temperature before consuming will help preserve their texture and flavor, ensuring a more enjoyable and satisfying experience.
